Privacy policy

HeyNotice helps groups share short notices. Here is what we process, why we need it, and how you can delete it.

Information we process

Why we use it

We use this information to create and join rooms, display notices, deliver optional notifications, maintain access controls, respond to support requests, and address abuse. We do not sell personal information, show advertising, or use advertising identifiers. The app does not include an analytics or advertising SDK.

Who can see notices

People with an invite link can join its room. Participants can read the room name and latest notice; the host alone can publish. Invites may be forwarded, so share them only with the intended group. Do not put passwords, medical records, payment details, or other sensitive information in notices.

Service providers and location

We use Google Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions, Firebase Hosting, and Firebase Cloud Messaging. Apple processes iOS push delivery. Our Firestore database and server functions are configured in Seoul. Other provider processing may occur outside your country. See Firebase privacy information and Apple’s privacy policy.

Retention and deletion

Room data remains until the host closes the room or deletes their app data. Leaving a room removes your membership. “Delete my data” removes your hosted rooms and notices, memberships, reports linked to your identity, block records, and Firebase anonymous account. A minimal security record is scheduled to expire after 24 hours; automated database cleanup may take additional time. Provider security logs may persist for their retention period.

Anonymous identity is tied to this installation. Uninstalling the app does not by itself delete server data, and reinstalling may make the previous identity inaccessible. Use the in-app deletion option first. For assistance, see Data deletion.

Camera

Camera access is optional and used only to scan invitation QR codes. Camera images are processed on your device and are not uploaded or stored by HeyNotice. You can enter a group code or invite link without camera access.

Your choices

You can deny notifications, change notification permissions in your device settings, leave a room, report and block a host, close a room you host, or delete your app data. Contact us to request access, correction, or assistance with deletion; we may need to verify that the request concerns your data.

Children and changes

HeyNotice is intended for people aged 13 and older and is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us. We may update this policy as the service changes and will publish the revised date here.
